Information Collection and Use
RMAS is the sole owner of information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.
RMAS only collects information that you have voluntarily given us, or our members. We collect that information from this site and from contest and sweepstakes forms, sales, rewards programs, promotions or other similar methods executed by the Ace Hardware stores we represent.
We do not attempt to collect any information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, you should use this web site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian and should not submit any personal information to us. We do not collect any information regarding credit cards, driver's license numbers or Social Security numbers.
RMAS may use different URLs (web addresses) from time to time. All these different URLs will point to this site. All information presides on this site.
Unless you ask us not to, RMAS will use this information on behalf of our members to contact you about sales, promotions, events, or other information about our company, Ace Hardware, or our members. Most communications will be addressed from "Ace Hardware" or your local Ace Hardware store.
With whom do we share information?
We may engage third parties to perform services in connection with the operation of our business. Examples of these include marketing and promotional material distribution, web site evaluation, data gathering and analysis, and where applicable data cleansing. We may engage them to store this information on our behalf but we authorize them to use this information only in connection with the services they perform.
We may share non-personal information with our marketing partners, advertisers, and others from time to time. Examples of such non-personal information include the number of users who visited our site during a specific time period or the number of clicks on a specific area of the site.
We may release personal information if we believe in good faith that: the law or legal process require it: we have received a valid administrative request from a law enforcement agency; or such release is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of RMAS, its members, or any of our respective affiliates, business partners, customers or others.
Cookies and Web Beacons
We may use a variety of technologies on our site. One is "cookies" which transfers a text-only string of information to your browser so our web site can remember your browser in the future. We may send a cookie when you visit our web site. Cookies may be used in many ways but the most common are to verify your login status, track entry points for registration purposes, and track and measure the success of a marketing campaign. Cookies are not linked to any personally identifiable information on our site.
You have the ability and option to decline cookies by modifying the settings on your browser. These settings may vary by software provider and software release. Please refer to the instructions or help desks provided by your software provider to modify the settings. More information about how to manage cookies is available at http://www. aboutcookies.org.
Some of our pages, emails, and other content may contain electronic images known as web beacons or single-pixel GIFs. These are invisible graphic images. Web beacons allow us to count the number of users that have opened an email, seen an advertisement, and visited our web pages. Web beacons collect only limited information such as the cookie identifier, the URL where the web beacon resides, and the time and date of the pages visited. They also allow us to track the number of people that open an email that we have sent. We may use this to customize our offerings to you.
Web beacons cannot be declined when delivered via a regular web page. They can, however, be refused when delivered via email. If you do not wish to receive web beacons via email, you need to disable HTML images or refuse HTML emails via your email software.
We may also use pixels (transparent GFI files) to help manage our online advertising. Pixels enable our partners to recognize a unique cookie on your web browser, which in turn allows us to recognize what advertisement or promotion brought users to the site.
Web beacons, cookies, pixels (GFI files) do not contain your name, address, telephone, or email address.
Option to Opt-Out
RMAS practices only permission-based email communication with customers. Each and every email will have an opt-out option at the bottom of the page. All opt-out requests will be honored in 5 business days or less. You may also opt-out by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
